- North Wales gets £15m caravan park

Attention all caravanners! If you love taking holidays in North Wales, then you are in for a treat, as Gwynedd council has given the go head for a £15million redevelopment project for a luxury caravan park in Pwllheli.The new site will host a nine hole golf course, over 200 bases for luxury, static and lodge pitches. The park will also extend the walks on the site over looking unmatched views of the coast, the Lleyn Peninsula and the mountains of Snowdonia.
The new park will also have huge benefits to the local ecomony, creating 12 permanent jobs and at least 30 seasonal positions.
General Manager Andrew Baker, who is also director of the Tourism Partnership North Wales, said: “This underlines the continuing and indeed growing confidence we have in Hafan Y Mor and North Wales in general as a top tourist destination where visitors can enjoy some of the most spectacular scenery in Britain.”
Mr Baker added: “This is a big thing for us. Hafan Y Môr is seen as one of the top five destinations for tourists in north Wales, and in particular the Llyn Pennnsula, and it will be a five-star holiday destination by the time the work is finished.”
