If you thought that dogs can’t surf – then you’d be wrong.

Last weekend some of the most talented dog surfers and their owners gathered at Huntington Beach in California for the annual Surf City Surf Dog tournament.

The week end long event raised funds for the Orange County Human Society.

The surf tournament also included  a parade entitled
“Yappy Hour” and a “High Maintenance Bitch” dog fashion show.

All the dogs in the fashion show were available for adoption and the faboulous pooches all wore outfits from a puppy boutique in Seattle.

The event ended with a dog walk along the beach, a canine costume contest and the ” Hot Diggity of Dog Expo” of pet products where  more than 40 pet product business showcased their product ranges.
