Oscar winner Penelope Cruz married her boyfriend fellow actor Javier Bardem.

The couple tied the knot at an intimate wedding ceremony in front of friends and families at a friend’s house in Barbados. The Oscar winning actress wore a John Galliano dress.

A representative for the couple confirmed the marriage to US magazine Life & Style.

She told the US psychologies magazine, ‘I want to have babies one day but not right now. When I do it I want to do it well. I want it to be my best project in life.’

Cruz and Bardem have been friends for nearly 20 years after they worked together on the Spanish film Jamon Jamon in 1992.
