The 22-year-old singer and actress married ice hockey player Mike Comrie in a sunset ceremony in last Saturday in Santa Barbara. The couple exchanged vows in a private Montecito mansion in front of 100 guests.

After the wedding and private reception, Hilary and Mike retired to San Ysidro Ranch’s famous Kennedy Cottage, an opulent resort where John F Kennedy and his new bride Jackie O honeymooned in 1953. In more recent times, other big stars like Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony also spent their first night as a married couple there in 2004.

The resort itself is one of the most luxurious hotels in California resort overlooking the Pacific recently had a £74 million renovation. The new Kennedy Cottage is a highlight, tailormade for old-fashioned romance, with fireplaces and four-poster beds swathed in gauzy drapes. Most suits include two master suites, three fireplaces, a hot tub and panoramic ocean views.
