Dog training and behaviour experts organised a week-long campaign to raise awareness of the benefits of dog training using reward-based dog training methods. Throughout the week between 31st July and 7th August flyers will be distributed educating people about dog training and its benefits. Retailers, vets and dog training clubs will also take part by selling ‘stop barking’ training aids and products. Dog Train and Behave Week highlights the benefits of having a sociable, well-trained pet.

Dr Roger Mugford, animal psychologist said that ‘One of the most common behaviour problems we see owners tearing their hair out over at our animal behaviour centre is persistent barking, so this year we’re helping to restore peace and harmony to the dog homes of Britain’.
