A caravan insurance claim may need to be made by the owners of a mobile home that was broken into.
The Chelmsford Weekly News reports how vandals ransacked the property when it was left unoccupied at a site in Beeleigh Road, Maldon.
Maldon town councillor John Bunkell's company Kellbun were using the caravan while based on the land, where work was being carried out to construct a multi-million pound home.
"The door had been wrenched open and the whole place had been trashed to the point that they had urinated in there," Mr Bunkell stated.
He explained how paint had also been thrown and the wardrobes and bedrooms ransacked.
Inspector Chris Kilgallen of Maldon police confirmed an incident had been reported and that officers were investigated.
Elsewhere, firefighters in Yeovil were recently called to a caravan fire that is thought to have been deliberately started, This is Somerset reported.
