Planning application has been submitted for a new holiday park near Ludlow, news which may be of interest to those looking for tourer caravan insurance.
Morris Leisure has put forward a proposal for a five-star site featuring 135 pitches and an area for motorhomes, Shropshire Live reports.
It is hoped the council will approve the work so building can begin this summer at the 20-acres of land between the A49 and River Terne.
Managing director at Morris Leisure Edward Goddard said: “The riverside location is ideal because it is well screened and peaceful, yet has good access to the old A49 and is within walking distance of the town.”
He added that the park could potentially generate up to £1 million a year for the local economy.
Morris Leisure has four caravan sites set within Shropshire and Snowdonia National Park in north Wales.
Each is designed to provide five-star accommodation and facilities to people holidaying in the UK.
