The winner of a new FujiFilm FinePix device may want to take out camera insurance before using the expensive piece of technology.

Photograph enthusiasts in the UK are being offered the chance to get their hands on the S1600 model through a competition featured in the Guardian.

The digital camera features 12 megapixels, a 3 inch LCD screen and a 28 mm wide-angle lens with ax15 zoom.

One reader could become the owner of the “serious piece of kit” which is being given away as part of a promotional drive for the Cayman Islands.

The Caribbean destination is said to be a must-visit location for nature lovers and photographers due to the abundance of wildlife that can be seen.

Turtles, blue iguanas, butterflies, orchids and some of the world’s most rare creatures call the Cayman Islands home.

Living only on Grand Cayman, the blue iguana is described as critically endangered and is one of the main attractions at the Queen Elizabeth II Botanic Park.
