- French boat springs a leak in the Volvo Ocean Race

A boat insurance claim may have had to be made by the owners of the French boat Groupama after it began taking on water during the Volvo Ocean Race.
Frank Cammas and his crew were forced to spend more than three hours draining more than a tonne of water and repair the leaking storage tank.
However, despite the drama, the group managed to move to within 15 miles of the leaders in the final 24 hours of the race.
Groupama's Yann Riou said it was not clear what had caused the leak, stating: "Our ballast tank will be operational again for the final sprint once we're through the ridge of high pressure."
Despite finding themselves in fifth place three days ago, the French team has managed to pull back and have less than 400 miles in which to catch the race leaders.
The Volvo Ocean Race competitors represent 15 nations, with the teams having started the contest ten days ago.
